MultiMC has a system to automatically update game and mod loader versions. ![]() Change the entry to the following to have it use the latest (fixed) version: What we need to change is the ForgeWrapper download that is up at the top. Click the zipped modpack folder then Open. On the MultiMC launcher, click Add Instance. Drag and drop the zipped modpack onto the MultiMC folder on your desktop. Right click on that entry and select Customize, it will change to 36.2.0 (Custom), then right click again and click Edit, this will open up the JSON file for the Forge version. Download your modpack of choice from CurseForge or other modpack websites. Under the Version section you will see the Forge version listed as 36.2.0. AoA+ is a modpack based on exploration, the core of the pack being Advent of Ascension 3. To remedy this problem in MultiMC and launch the pack, you will need to install the modpack, then edit the instance. This will bring up a file browser which will allow you to select the mod file you wish. ![]() So, this seems to be a problem in the newer versions of Forge like 36.2.0. For those Minecraft players who put a lot of mods in their game, MultiMC is practically a necessity, especially if you have multiple people. With the appropriate mod file placed in the folder, right-click on the Modded 1.7.10 instance in MultiMC and then select the Loader mods tab on the left-hand side of the window. There seems to be some issues launching with MultiMC.ĭon't think this is a bug in this modpack, but rather with the onesix launcher in MultiMC failing to launch the mod pack because it can not find some necessary Minecraft files and can't seem to download them either. ![]()
